The Tabasco pepper is a variety of the chili pepper species "Capsicum frutescens" originating in Mexico. It was made famous and is best known through its use in Tabasco sauce. The peppers are vibrant red and offer a nice level of heat. The fruit is tapered and usually grow around 2 inches long. The color varies from creamy yellow to red, and turn yellow and orange before ripening to a vibrant, bright red. The wonderful colors are visible from these pods.

I had these sent to my father who isn't tech savvy and doesn't do internet orders. He IS a good farmer though. Grows a magnificent garden each year, all in containers so he has total control of the planting medium. Out of 2 packs of these seeds, zero sprouts. These were the only thing that didn't sprout in his trays so I emailed about this and did not get a response. Guess I will buy elsewhere.
