Christmas Lima Pole Bean is a productive heirloom variety with a rich, nutty flavor. The plant produces excellent yields of large lima beans. Seeds are white with maroon spots about the size of a quarter, 5-6 in. long pods. Able to withstand extreme heat, it grows on vigorous vines that stretch to 10′ tall. For fresh, green-shell use, pick the Beans once the pods have bulged and filled out or let the pods dry and thresh out the Beans for dry use. An excellent choice for home gardens.
